One of the things a Gutenberg education is designed to do is to train students to “read difficult literature with understanding.” That comes with lots of practice and with tutored discussions that help students learn what to look for and how to get at the argument of the author. Some of that difficult literature Gutenberg students read has to do with economics. And a few years ago, at a Gutenberg Summer Institute on economics, participants spent a week reading and discussing Keynes and Hayek, along with Marx and others. But every once in awhile it is nice to have someone summarize an argument and present it in an entertaining way. Someone spent a lot of money putting together this video which contains a tremendous amount of content about the economic arguments advanced by both John Maynard Keynes and Friedrich Hayek. So enjoy!
